I had a Flightseeing excursion over the Misty Fjords but it was too cloudy for a good portion of the morning so it was canceled. This happens a lot with flight and helicopter tours in Alaska so be prepared. So I just spent the time walking around and I went to Creek Street. Depending on the time of year you will be able to see salmon swimming up stream. There is also a lot of shopping and can find some great deals in September as it’s the end of the season.

Bright and early, the sun was shining and the weather was beautiful. The town, was super quirky and fun! The little shops and local candy store was mega cute. And granted this was Alaskas first city, I love the history behind the "Red Light District!" 😜😜

We used Lighthouse Excursions to go on the Eagle, Totem pole and Lighthouse water tour. Good experience, we saw many eagles, saw the totem poles from a distance and light house was ok. We enjoyed it. Don’t be afraid to use other excursion companies not affiliated with the cruise. Smaller groups, cost less, same scenery.

This is the cutest town. It was a beautiful day. This is a great place for souvenir shopping and lots and lots of "made in Alaska" finds. We loved strolling along Creek Street ... so much history l.
