We enjoyed the Rainforest Sanctuary and Raptor Center excursion. It was fun for the children. The other part of our group went Salmon fishing. Unfortunately the salmon weren't biting, but the boat captain was very friendly.

Enjoyed the beauty of the town and authentic Alaskan restaurants located in town. Convenient free bus ride and shopping in the stores for gifts and souvenirs. Saxman village with totem park.

Captin...what can I say...Late again arriving and even later disembarking!!! He blamed it on the wind but the wind was not bad, it was hardly blowing when we got off. We know that he crashed the dock there before and wanted to make sure he did not do it again. I have boats and understand that. Our Floatplane excursion was cancelled due to weather, but then we heard why at a local place. A plane crashed into the dock in front of the Walmart so they closed all flights. Better safe than sorry. So out of three excursions paid in advance for we were only able to go on one.

We had so much fun in Ketchikan! We took a crab boat and crab feast excursion at George Inlet Lodge that was excellent! The boat tour was beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife - eagles, bears, seals, and crabs! When they say "all you can eat crab", they weren't kidding. Hot, juicy, succulent crab kept coming! We had fun with the table competition to see who could create the largest crab shell tower in the center of their table! After our crab feast, we took a stroll through Creek Street Red Light District. A great way to experience how life was during the gold rush. A wonderful port full of history.
