No excursion. Just walked Creek Street and shopped. Loved this town. Best shopping was Tongass Trading right off the dock. Best prices and great selection. You can pick up a coupon book for discount on certain items. Really wanted to do the float plane here, but with the recent crashes, decided not to. There are lots of planes in the air here!

Could have used more time, I felt we had to rush and did not get everything in. We scheduled the totem excursion, wasn't worth it as we only ended up with about 10 minutes to walk around, would have loved to spend more time shopping and walking around the town.

Ship dock for NCL is 30 minutes from downtown. We were only Ship so downtown was empty. Easy to walk around town and eat some good food.

My husband went salmon fishing - he was the only person to catch anything. He was excited! I walked the town and saw the sites. I used the map from the visitor center and went to each of the points of interest. Everything is pretty close together. It's a nice town.

We took the Misty Fjord Float Plane excursion. It was beautiful. They use old World War II seaplanes perfectly restored to look new. Ketchikan itself is like the Cozumel of Alaska, one jewelry and souvenir shop after another. Once you get off the main street you get away from all that, it's kind of charming, but our first impression was tacky, tacky, tacky. Go back to the stream and the former bordello. We had friends who liked the lumberjack show, too.

Great shopping but not enough time in port

We had a grey and dreary day in Ketchikan, but it's always like that so it wasn't too bad. We ate a ton of crab at the George Inlet Lodge and had a lovely boat ride back where we saw eagles scooping up fish from the water and crabs in a crab net. My only gripe here is that our time in Ketchikan was limited and I wish we had more time to walk around the downtown area to shop and see the sites.

Did not like where the Grand Princess docked in Ketchikan. It was quite a walk to town. Previously had docked across the street from “tourist downtown area” with different Cruise Lines.

Loved Ketchikan. We didn't do any excursions, but preferred to walk around on our own and explore the town.
