We went on a whale watching trip that was outstanding, We saw a lot of whales, Bald Eagles, Harbor Seals and other wildlife. It was not a ships tour. We went with an independent company because of their well know reputation, and small number of passengers per boat. It was also significantly less expensive.

I did the Mendenhall Glacier, Gardens and Hatchery with my family and really had a good time. I tried to finish king crab legs at Tracys Crab Legs, but they were too much!

Took a cab to the Russian church, then walked downhill stopping at the city museum (very good), window shopped and stopped for lunch. Would have gone to state museum were it not closed for the weekend. Nice variety of things to see.

Loved the people so friendly and the stores. Beautiful here my daughter and I spent hours just taking everything in. I will come back here to see more

Had the plane tour of glaciers that concluded with a salmon feast at Taku Lodge. The food prepared for us was AMAZING. They also sell the recipes in the gift shop. I highly recommend visiting!

Visited Mendenhall Glacier, rode the Mt. Roberts Tram, and had lunch at the Red Dog Saloon. Great start to Alaska! Enough time at this port to take a walk through town too.

I was disappointed at Mendhenhall Glacier becuase the one trail that we had time to walk was closed. We were not able to get close to the glacier. The whale quest was outstanding! We saw many whales and sea lions.
