We only docked for 5 hours so we booked a shuttle to the glacier ourselves from one of the pier vendors. Wonderful experience with a narrated tour through the town to the glacier where we explored on our own. Saw 3 bears, tons of salmon, and we all got to play on the glacier "beach". Weather was sunny and beautiful. Magical day being at the glacier and enjoying the outdoors.

Great whale watching with bubble net feeding with Gasteau charter. Tramway to mountain top nice views & hiking trails.

At the very beginning of the season - whale watching was good. Cheaper trips available at the kiosks on the cruise pier.

Really pretty port. Wandered around the town mostly. Visited the Red Dog Saloon, I would recommend at least going in. My excursion was the Salmon Bake, it was decent food. It was surprisingly at a industrial park, but once you headed out behind it, the falls were so pretty.

Whale watching was exceptional. Multiple whales and multiple whale breeches. Sea Lions, Bald Eagles, Mountain Sheep on the mountain tops - need good binoculars.

Quaint and easy to explore on foot. It was nice because you could walk directly to the town from the ship.

In Juneau, I did an excursion where we took a helicopter to a glacier and went dog mushing. It was amazing and there was plenty to do like hitching/unhitching dogs and feeding and seeing puppies! Highly recommend the tour.
