Our favorite port. Booked a shuttle at the port to take us up to Mendenhall glacier state park. Hiked along the fjord to a huge waterfall near the glacier. Great weather, excellent views. Took tons of pictures. Back near port we had king crab and shopped a little. This is the only time we ate at a so-called tourist restaurant, "Tracy's". Expensive, but food was very good. Hey, as much as I talk about saving money, sometimes ya' just have to put it in perspective. Enjoy the meal and don't worry about it (just don't do it too often!).
