Wow. We went to Mendenhall Glacier and it was beautiful. Nugget falls is an easy paved trail, really nice. We also went on an helicopter ride to walk on top of the glacier and it was just breath taking. It is a must. But be careful, if weather is really bad they will cancel. We were fortunate that is was the first day in a week that is wasn’t raining too hard and was able to fly. But the dogsled excursion was cancel do to bad weather. If you can do it. The town is small but cute.

May want to plan for rain and cooler weather here also. A lot of excursions to choose from locals when off ship if time permits Great shopping

This was my second time in Juneau. Road the Mt. Roberts Tram. Beautiful scenery, and ticket is good all day. You can go to the top as often as you like. Lots of shopping within easy walking distance of the pier. On a previous visit we took the City Bus Tour with Mendenhall Glacier. Great tour of the area, and the tour guide was very nice. Would have liked to have had more time at the glacier, but no real complaint.

We really enjoyed our trip to Alaska, and at this particular port we took a stroll around town just looking, we saw eagles, the blowing of the whales and their tails, nice trip.

Great port, very nice people. We walked most of the port in a downpour but still had some fun.

In Juneau we went whale watching and to the salmon bake. Guides were awesome. We were afraid the salmon bake would be just so-so, but it was so much more than expected. Great location, delicious food, salmon in the creek and a beautiful waterfall. Not much time to see the city.

Booths at the ship dock sell shuttle transportation to the Mendenhall Glacier National Park for $20 r.t. It's gorgeous; don't miss it.
