We did a helicopter ride to the Herbert Glacier through Coastal Helicopters. Our pilot and guide was Pete. The helicopter ride was exciting. We all wore headphones for noise protection that was also fitted with microphones so that we could communicate during the ride. Once on the glacier, we were allowed to walk around, take pictures and enjoy the sites. Pete directed us to an area where we could fill up our water bottles with Glacier water. The cleanest, coldest water on the planet.

We went on a Mendenhall Glacier and whale watching tour. Mendenhall glacier was great and we hiked down to nugget falls. Definitely worth the hike down. We saw a few whales while on the boat including a mom and her calf. I got some great pictures. Everyone from the tour company were great

Did a whale watching (on smaller boat) and Gold Creek Salmon Bake. Whale watching a five plus stars! We saw humpbacks whales lunge feeding, a pod of native orcas and a sea lion that wanted to hop in the back of the boat. The boat staff had to kindly, but firmly, tell him "NO!" Salmon Bake was so sad. Rainy & cold outdoors, with most of the food from the Juneau CostCo. Bring your sense of humor and just call it a memory. ;-)

This was a beautiful area. Enjoyed all the narrative and how peaceful this place was. Saw several seals. Enjoyed being able to sit on balacony and still see everything

We went zip lining here, explored town, and went to a salmon bake for dinner. The zip lining was great, the Red Dog Saloon is noteworthy, and the waterfall was beautiful by the salmon bake.

We went to Mendenhall glacier and evening whale watch. This was the best part of the whole trip. We saw humpback whales and orca dolphins. It was magnificent.
