Most beautiful port ever💕 not too much to do and explore, but we took a walk around the town and went to the museum and some shops. Booked the river wilderness tour which was okay, but we didn‘t spot any animals or anything interesting, so wasn‘t really worth it

Arriving in Haines was very picturesque. We visited Kroschel Wildlife center. The hosts were nature film makers. More than a dozen animals! The hosts let us pet certain animals. Wolverines, minks, caribou’s etc..

Haines is a charming town but has little to see in the town itself. We booked a cruise of Chilkoot Lake. It was a rainy, windy, cold day which limited wildlife viewing. The lake itself is beautiful with many cascading waterfalls. Our boat captain was a bit self-absorbed and provided little information not centered on his own interests which centered on angling. Still, it was nice to get out to nature and the beauty of the area made the trip worthwhile.

We took an excursion to Haines from Skagway. Cute little town. We saw bear, eagles, harbor seal. It was a decent excursion. The ride there by boat was beautiful.

We took the White Pass and Yukon Route train excursion, which was very enjoyable. More fabulous scenery, along with a nice box lunch. Souvenirs were available for purchase on the train.

We loved Haines, quiet tiny Alaskan town not so spoiled by the Cruise industry. Hiked the Rainforest and the town in the rain - great adventure.

Again, did not explore the town however our ATV excursion was amazing.
