Bring a good telephoto lens for your camera, and keep the camera ready for a calving--they happen at any moment of time. The whales dive so quickly it is almost impossible to catch them on camera.

We had extraordinary weather for our visit to Glacier Bay, clear skies, calm water and unlimited visibility.

The glaciers are amazing. I would not mind staying longer. This is my sole reason on this cruise.

go to the Park Ranger talk so you know what you are seeing. the captain turned the ship twice so every side could get a view of the glacier

It was a foggy, dreary day but the fog lifted by the time we reached Margery Glacier. The Park Rangers were very informative.
