Cruise tips
Antigua Guatemala is a must! Have as much time there as possible. Try to buy some textile from the mountain ladies. They are working very hard, drive to town by bus for 4 hours and their price is reasonable for real handmade works. Try to find lady called Elena - she is genuine , very friendly and speaks good English.
Pointe Des Galets, Reunion Island
EU port. An excellent hiking spot!
Beautiful waterfront but avoid city and never ever use credit card as you maybe robbed even when in public and guarded ATM.
Waste of time.
Must spend at least one complete day in Olinda!!
Visit the barber shop and Sandies garment shop and museum and beautiful beaches.
Touched ground during departure
Seven Seas Navigator
If You Fall seasick easily do choose a cabin on lower deck midship
Ship did not anchor due to bad weather conditions
Take a helicopter ride!!!
A shame how run down this place is !
Missed it as our ship Seven Seas Navigator went on ground in Benoa, Bali. Did not have a chance to see Borobudur, world heritage site. From other comments does not seem we missed a lot?
This is the most welcoming Harbour we have met on our 137 day cruise. Over 400 honorable members looking after their most welcome tourists - a marvelous job done for their community!!!
Must visit Sandies dress shop. Also have a good haircut at the hairdresser hidden in the mall before heading out to the most beautiful beaches. Rent a bike and drive to Salmon beach.
Well worth visiting- uniquely stunning ancient beasts! Never ever dream of swimming at the beautiful beaches. Beware of the souvenir sellers - they are as aggressive as the dragons!
Tristan Da Cunha Group (St. Helena)
We missed it! This was to be the stop of our lifetime with a round of golf played on a 9- hole course at Edinbourghof the Seas. We were to arrive from Walvisbaai, Namibia o/b Regent Seven Seas Navigator, but tendering not possible due to rough mounting waves. Heading straight on to Montevideo.
We had planned big snorkeling tour but captain decided not to tender due to bad weather conditions. Our weather forecast showed all day sunny and 31 degrees. Cannot understand why we had to miss this beautiful spot.
