Helpful VotesWe are from Toronto, Canada and have typical Canadian winters which can be extremely cold. We look forward to cruising during the winter months and seeing the beautiful islands and meeting wonderful people. We started cruising in 2011 doing our first Mediterranean cruise which we loved, followed by many Caribbean cruises. We love cruising because it allows us to see different islands while enjoying wonderful accommodations and amazing food.

Beautiful Ship but a little overcrowded
This was our 5th NCL cruise and although we enjoyed this cruise we found that there were far too many people on board. The 2 pools were simply too small for the amount of people on board. Also I was quite surprised at all the additional charges at the complimentary restaurants, I had never seen that before. They certainly nickel and dime us wherever they can. Also our room (9858) had the tiniest balcony I have ever seen which barely allowed 2 people to sit comfortably, but the worst part was this 10 ft landing that extended out of our balcony did not allow us to see down was a real eye sore. We did not expect an obstructed balcony because we made sure to avoid those but this awful. When we complained to Guest Services they said they didn't have any balconies left to move us to so we were stuck with it. The food was plentiful as usual but after a week the buffet was repetitive and we didn't look forward to it. We went to some beautiful islands but our favorite was Harvest Cay, Belize. It was absolutely stunning and we wished we could have ported there for a few days. The pool was a mile long and so clean and beautiful. The beach had thousands of chairs available and we didn't have any problems finding chairs. It was by far our favorite island of all the cruises we've been on and will definitely return! We have now reached Silver Latitudes membership on NCL, but they changed the program so it's harder now to move to Platinum status. Overall we loved it, but I think we will book a smaller ship next year.

Cruise tips
Beautiful!! Spent the day in the ocean with the ship in our background. We had fish swimming all around us. We had a great day!
We loved Puerto Rico and took a tour of the city. It has a lot of history and culture and looked very european! Would love to go back!
Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic
We didn't get off due to the high winds :-(
Have done St. Thomas many times, was sad to see all the devastation from the hurricane.
Lots of shopping in Cozumel and the port is beautiful
Stunning and by far our favorite island of all the 7 cruises we have ever been on
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
We took a cab to a beautiful beach, however be warned of the extremely bumpy ride due to all the pot holes
Not much to do or see at this port
