What is the shortest time before a cruise you have booked?

To compliment the question about the furthest out, let's see how close in time you have booked.

Ours is 28 days.

Spent 2 weeks on Oasis OTS with 7 relatives, flew home on Sunday, went to local casino buffet on following Sunday and was browsing cruises, saw deal on last available cabin on Explorer OTS leaving local, boarded that following Friday. I was a nice retreat for us 2 after the big family cruise.

I'd like to change my answer: I'm in the process of booking my next cruise....2 months from now!

We had our PVP at Carnival call in mid October 2017 and offer us 7 day cruise on the Breeze leaving Nov 5 2017. It was just over two weeks, We got it for $50.00 per person plus port fees and taxes. We also got $50.00 per person onboard credit. 7 day cruise for less than two hundred and fifty dollars, we didn't pass that deal up.

So what you decice?

I believe it was around 80 or 90 days out. That was about 5 years ago. We both work full time and it's pretty hard for us to do anything last minute let alone plan a vacation. Maybe when we retire...in 30 years. ;)

I think there was one about 2 months out for us, but most of the time we’re planning well over a year in advance to make schedules work.

Our first cruise, a 10th-anniversary surprise for my wife, I booked in May for a September sailing. It was right around the PIF date. Our second cruise, a "make-up" cruise, I booked in late September for an early January sailing. It was 2 weeks before the PIF date.

All other cruises, we have booked at least a year in advance.

That's a hellacious "problem" to have isn't it?? Mebbe we're "overboard" insisting on the exact cabin and location and reservations etc etc...but the only way to guarantee that is to book em early.

Same problem as you, I just booked New Years 2021 as we already have 4 booked before.

3 weeks out. Norwegian had a sale and I got a balcony without having to pay the single supplement price, great deal! I’ve never seen it since.
