Pool View or Ocean View

A lot of people congregate around the pools to sunbathe even though they may not be planning on going into the pool. I prefer a nice lounger up on deck facing the ocean. I do carry a spray bottle filled with ice water that I spritz on my skin to stay cool but I prefer to get away from the masses.

As far as lounging out on open deck, one place I noticed that doesn't have as many people quite often is the very aft of the ships on various top side decks. I read an online tip that the aft part of the ship is also a great place for glacier photography since everyone heads towards the front. When the ship turns around to start heading away the people aft have a clean shot for taking pictures without a lot of people in the way.

I like to do both. Sometimes you get to stare... er meant, see pretty ladies by the pool.

I prefer to look out at the ocean and daydream, read or nap.

Even though we moved around quite a lot while the DH was on active duty, this is home. We went to rival High Schools in the Denver area. On our Panama Canal cruise we met a fellow who went to another High School in our same area... small world. I was happy when his last assignment (we hadn't planned to retire yet, but things worked out fine) brought us home. There have been some beautiful places that I would not have minded living forever, but as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz says, "there's no place like home".Love

I agree!

I didn't realize you are in Colorado AuntPinkie. I met a wonderful couple on the Grand Princess named Bill and Stephanie on the that cruise. Both retired lawyers from Colorado. And I've visited CO several times and loved it there.

I have seen some good bods near the pools but doesn't seem to be the norm.

We tend to walk the ship rather than sit in a lounge chair, so we will stop more often looking at the ocean. If we sit, it is looking at the ocean. Thank is why we cruise, I can go to any pool on Colorado and see the "pool whales" if that is what floated my boat. Now there are also some beautiful toned bodies (male and female) near the pools, so it is worth a trip by them now and again.Wink

If these men and women were just fat it be bad enough. But some of those people out there are obese and for some reason unknown to me want to let the world see all that flesh uncovered. I'm not interested and those that are interested in seeing all that should be charged $10 a minute for the viewing. (How was that for tying two forum threads together?)

'That's just mean man.

true, but mean.

fat hairy men in Speedo's.

Hah, now that the image is implanted, enjoy your breakfast

I'd rather see a whale in the ocean then by the pool............... again, we all thought it, I just said it !!!!!
