NOBODY MAY BE GOING ANYWHERE

It seems unlikely, but who knows. This is a continuation of the "meetings" that started last Saturday.

You keep people on board and keep taking their temps, and if theres someone with "only" the flu, or a bad cold, all bets are off. It took two days to figure out how to get all the passengers off that other Princess ship. And, fwiw, I don't think they'll be all that nice about it either. As in "You're not taking MY temperature!"...response.."wanna bet?" Somehow hundreds of students "studying abroad" were magically plucked out of Italy..not one was tested. unless of course, all 340 of em decided to lie just to make things interesting. Either way, its a sad situation. Yes, the "flu" is statistically worse, every year..but at least it has a vaccine. Granted, of dubious effectiveness, and lots of peeps can't be bothered. This is just a little different. We were trying to convince ourselves to go. It might magically disappear. Heard it from the highest office in the land. In a month? Is it worth the risk? And, would we even enjoy ourselves? welllll…..

I am happy you plan to enjoy your vacation, no matter what your friends say. You will meet a lot of like minded people and probably have a great time. If you end up at a big table alone, ask to move to one nearby. Bon Voyage! Love

It seems more ports are closing entry to cruise ships. San Juan, according to my online readings, will only allow cruise ships to dock when they are assured no sick passengers are on board. How do you monitor that?

I seriously doubt you will be all alone on the ship..but if you were, just think of the top notch service you would get!! More food, and drinks for you! Big Smile

I also agree, and my cruise is in 9 days! All my friends have canceled including my roommate. If I decide to go I will be all alone. My biggest fear other than the airplane is that I will show up and cruise on a ghost ship with almost no other passengers on board. How terrible to show up for dinner and I would be the only person sitting at a table for 10! Still thinking about it because I do want to go but doing it alone on an empty ship doesn't sound exciting

That was some kind of article you posted a link to KENN. Not particularly surprising, unfortunately, on several levels. Nuff said.

The economy will surely be affected.
