Haven't been on a ship with these..so before I jump to conclusions about the mass confusion they cause (picture people getting on just because they're there with no deck buttons to push) I'd like to know if anyone has used them. Heald says "trust me you'll love them"....anyone who uses "trust me" as a phrase definitely equals "get out of Dodge" to me.
Regarding horizontal and vertical turbo lifts, and teleportation as previously discussed, Spock would never use the barbaric term of "interesting". I believe his intellectual comment of choice would remain "fascinating" !!

I'm just waiting for a cruise ship that will incorporate the Vertical and Horizontal turbo lifts...I have been given to understand that these will be available on the Enterprise Class ships.....

When we sailed on the Horizon the ship was half capacity and almost all of the passengers understood the directions. It worked very well. If there was someone who didn't understand it AND appeared not to want to have explained, I played the "dumb blond" with my friends or husband saying aloud, "oh! I get it. We have to push the call button for each of us!" Then proceed to do so. Sometimes you have do show by example.
