"NEW" ELEVATORS

https://www.thestreet.com/travel/carnival-cruise-line-solves-a-major-passenger-pain-point

Haven't been on a ship with these..so before I jump to conclusions about the mass confusion they cause (picture people getting on just because they're there with no deck buttons to push) I'd like to know if anyone has used them. Heald says "trust me you'll love them"....anyone who uses "trust me" as a phrase definitely equals "get out of Dodge" to me.

This thread went sideways, and, fwiw, its ok with me...lots of other groups would have gone holier-than-thou ballistic over it....anyway, in the hopes of keeping at least a nautical theme, I went at looked at the "current" USS ENTERPRISE...there still is one, its one of the most hallowed traditions in the NAVY to keep that nameplate. Only the past generation has decided to name them after Presidents and such. The last "active" BIG E CV-65, is sitting in a navy yard, probably awaiting being scrapped. The "new" BIG E CV-80, will replace USS EISENHOWER, which will also be retired. Its under construction,to be floated out 2025, scheduled to join the fleet 2028. I wasn't in the Navy, so they all kind of look alike to me....not counting Kirks "ship" which will live on forever as well...."live long and prosper" kids....

Which is one of the many reasons I listed Scotty on my list of dream crew members.

Yes - a 'space'ship IS STILL A SHIP !!!!!

Scotty wore a red shirt and survived!Big Smile

Just avoid wearing a red shirt ....

Now your thinking outside the box. I can get onboard that one.

Dr. Pulaski I presume? Hehehe

I do not intend to be the first victim, I mean user, of the transporter no matter where it will take me. Elevators are one thing, transporters are another.Surprised

"Never apologize mister...it's a sign of weakness.". ????

I bow down to you, Jedi Master, Sir. Please accept my humble apologies of ignorance.
