Maine and cruise ships

I didn't realize until recently that Maine even has cruise stops. Hope to go next year. Here's an article about how it's growing there.

Maine is gorgeous anytime of year as is the New England coastline. We have lived in New England...Massachusetts....for 45 years and we go up to Maine every year. You will not be disappointed in that cruise. Happy

It would be gorgeous to cruise there in the fall. I'd love to see New England and the eastern coast of Canada. So many places I'd love to see......

Bar Harbor & Portland are the two popular stops.

So cool, you all have been to so many places. I look forward to doing more cruising and visiting more places and building up a long cruise resume like all you veterans.

I'll be up in Maine in August.

We enjoyed that area when we lived there and I would love to go for a visit while cruising, but the DH isn't inclined to do that. It is beautiful in the Autumn and seeing it from the ocean can be breathtaking. Thanks for triggering a good memory. Love

Yes I've seen some crazy air fare contrasts. It costs more to fly to Fresno, CA from the SF Bay Area than it does SF to Boston, MA. Ridiculous stuff.

I want to do New England and Quebec cruise next year. I'm making it a priority when I bid for my 2018 vacation days at work this November. The pictures I've seen are gorgeous.

Being from California, you will find it amusing that it was cheaper for us to fly from LAX to Portland, Maine following a cruise we had been on than to fly back to Vegas ... go figure ...

We did a New England road trip last fall and saw so many cruise ships when we were in Bar Harbor and Portland. The Princess Regal was there when we were eating on the dock and I almost cried when I heard "The Love Boat" theme song as they pulled away....

What a beautiful area!
