Loyalty Programs - Do Cruise Lines Honor other Status Levels?

In Vegas, many casinos will give you the same level player card that you earned elsewhere in order to win your business. You don't need to earn "points" to reach a level if you already achieved that level at another casino.

Do any of the cruise lines offer a similar program? Or is it like Vegas, if you don't ask, you don't get ...

As others have stated, MSC will give some recognition to other loyalty programs so that you will give them a try (maybe we’ll get to check this out for ourselves sometime next year). Royal Caribbean/Celebrity/Azamara will recognize whatever your highest level with them is, but cruises on separate lines are not combinable. Carnival Corporation maintains all of their member lines as separate entities.

(Having lived in Vegas for several years, those casinos that recognize other points are most likely owned by the same parent company.)

What a wonderful idea! I think I still have a few green stamp books that I never redeemed (or my Mother might). Do you think I could use those?

Unfortunately, I know exactly what you are talking aboutSad

They have to. Have you seen their prices ? Who can afford to be loyal to MSC ?

Another post disappeared. Oh well, here we go again.

So, what you are asking is, if you are Diamond on Carnival, will you be considered Platinum ( 75+ days ) on Norwegian ? Ummmmmm, no. No frikkin way. The cruiselines would have to be bat$hit crazy to honor each others' loyalty programs. That's why they're called " Loyalty Programs "

Maybe the cruise lines should issue Green Stamps or Plaid Stamps. We can put them in little books and use them for OBC.

there I go showing my age again.

As stated, MSC is the only like that will recognize out side of its own line. RCI shares with some of it's lines. Carnival is every line on its own.

MSC will recognize and match the loyalty points/program from the cruise company you chose. They matched my Carnival status.

With celebrity, they will recognize your RCI level once you get to platinum I do believe and vice versa, but it is because they are sister companies.
