I don't really see anything wrong with this. ChiBang is becoming a specialty restaurant and will charge just like the rest. The difference is it is a bit of a hybrid to start by giving a free dinner to everyone and charging for additional. This will give them some feel for how popular it would be as a charged specialty restaurant ,,,, not to mention will also pad the coffers.

Well, interesting.... Judging by the prices I'm seeing out there ( Quite High) and looking at the options. I'm pretty sure that the bottom line for the companies needs a great deal of extra charges that do not have a large cost behind them. Sorta like buying a 250.00 insurance on toaster oven that will never be claimed... Zero to no cost for paperwork and a 250 profit. the last few years have been tough on these companies.....and the bean counters bonuses...

Like you, Yankee47, I dont have nice memories of tents either.

Lynn loves people

Don't remind me about tents...some folks love it...not me...last time I slept in one I was wearing green and got paid to do it. I'm more of a Hilton kind of guy.....

I honestly have no problem with this. So many dining venues on the ship(s).

One visit free, the second a small $8 charge. This would not deter me from a second visit if I liked the first sooooo much.

P.S, Remind me to get more to get more tent stakes to keep your prying nose OUT !!!

I think its blankety-blank outrageous, insulting, and they're consistently pushing the envelope to see just how much they can get away with...but you KNEW I would feel that way...ANYONE ELSE???

Since this is one of the "specialty" restauarnts, I wouldn't be surprised if the decide to just charge the $8 for dinner and be done with it. I haven't been on the ship and would guess they will act on the feedback (most likely negative) they receive from the post cruise surveys. The bean counters are try ing to find ALL the money they can and once they've found a way to get it, it's unlikely they'll give up the income. Sort of like a temporary tax by any government agency.

No I'm not cynical...much.
