Kindness Rocks.

Has anyone ever heard of the Kindness Rock Project? You paint rocks, join a face book group and "hide" them (in plain sight) for people to find. Once found, it is posted to the appropriate page. The finder can then choose to re hide it or keep it. Most I find I re hide but there were some special ones that I kept. The painter can watch how far and wide their rock travels. I took some rocks along on our cruise this year that I painted. I took one for each port, San Juan, Grand Turk and Amber Cove DR. I took one for each room steward and one to hide around the ship. The one in San Juan the bus boy found. He chased me down to tell me that I forgot it. I told him that I left it there for whomever found it and he found it so it was his. LOL The one in DR a family from West Virginia found and the best of all, the one on the ship in our Havana area, a girl from Bosnia found. I painted things that were indigenous to our area so that I could give a little history lesson about each. Not all were posted. I plan on doing this for all my cruises now. These are the ones I did so far. The anchors are for the stewards, the peace sign GT, the ship is the one for the ship, and the Pagoda, Costa Rica. I have a few more to do.

Cool

Could very well be. You can tell if they are because they will have the facebook Page on the bottom that they belong to.

Interesting .. never knew about the group. Might explain why we saw 3 painted rocks along the walkway here a few months back when walking the dogs.

Thats awesome. I hope people find then and post them to you group.

Thank you. I had fun doing it.

Cool idea. I've actually found quite a few of these painted rocks. Everywhere from my neighborhood park, a local restaurant, a nursery on Whidbey island, etc. Even one about two miles in on a trail near Mount Rainier. I keep the ones I find, then paint and hide new ones. I'll definitely do this on my next cruise. Big Smile

I have not found any, but it’s cool. Nice job on the painting.

LOL

Yes, and relaxing while you paunt them :)

Rock on. simple, yet nice!!

Thank you :)
