January Weather in the Bahamas

I love HMC and will be going back in October.

We were in the Bahamas last week, and the weather was gorgeous. The water at Half Moon Cay was too chilly for DD and DH to stay in very long, but we didn't need jackets.

Even though temps were in the 70's, had it been cloudy, windy and rainy, we wouldn't have been comfortable in sleeveless/short sleeves. I would pack a jacket--better safe than sorry.

Just returned from the Caribbean and it was quite pleasant. I wore capris and the DH wore shorts daily. We did have a few cool days and many passengers wore pants and sweatshirts were sold in the shops. I would recommend one "warmer" outfit since you already live in a warmer climate, just in case.

It should be in the 70s but you can never tell. I have been there when it was hot and also through a cool spell. Check the temperatures before you leave and throw in a sweater or two just in case.

I'd pack for warm weather, but also take a jacket or sweater for evenings on the ship where it is often very chilly even indoors. In the evenings on board I wear capris and a cardigan but a lot of people put long pants on.mit will be chilly and windy out on the deck if you are watching the stars or a movie under the stars. I think they supply blankets or towels for that to keep you warm.

You can search for this on line and it'll give you the mean temperature for January. However, it's weather and I've been in Miami in December/January and it's warm but, I've been in Miami late December and have frost on my car windows. Also, I've been in Nassau in January and needed a sweater. Just an FYI.

The average January temperature in the Bahamas is the mid to upper 70s.
