Is it a good idea to cruise in December via Carnival cruise 4 day trip?

Hello, we are trying to find cheap and fun vacation for December and was considering going on the 4 day cruise from Long Beach to Ensenada. Any been on the cruise in December? How is the weather? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. This is for a family of 4. Thanks.

I knew that! That's why I answered with the same sarcastic tone. We did drive it one time.... We went to the the Texas Renaissance Festival the weekend before Halloween, sailed on a 5 day cruise starting Monday (wore our Renaissance clothing that Friday for the Halloween contest), then went back to the Festival the weekend after the cruise. We call it our trifecta! Once was enough to let us know that "the juice isn't worth the squeeze".Big Smile

Oh girl, I know, I was being sarcastic.. that is way too long to be in a car with ANYONE!

I thankfully never had to make the drive. The hubby did it a few times when his parents lived in Pine., I had the perfect excuse both times.. 1st time, I was preggers, 2nd, I had the kid and wasn't about to drive that long with him.

Only?????? Plus then there is another hour to Galveston. Nope, too far.Wink

It's only an 18 hour drive to Houston..who needs to fly :p

Thank you all for the help. We will go for it. Thanks again

We have sailed in December and compared to Colorado weather it was awesome. If we lived close enough to a port to drive, we would probably cruise more! Go for it! I almost had husband talked into a 4 day leaving Sunday... but something interfered (air fare).

It depends on if you have to fly to get there.

Agree with nlcdn. Any time is a good time to cruise. And really how bad can the weather get in Long Beach or Mexico. Have sailed out of NY in December to the Bahamas and it was fantastic,

Any time for cruising is a good time. During Christmas the rates tend to increase.
