I know this was your first cruise but I don't find it fair to base your 3 star review on something the cruise line can't control. Weather is ALWAYS a factor at sea. You can have good days or bad days. Checking the weather "before going" is almost impossible since most people book their cruises 6 to 12 months out. Dealing with the weather is a chance you take going on a cruise. Just like flying.....

Not really sure why you are accusing me of "Bashing" your review? All I did was try to point out that the ship nor the cruise line has any control over the weather. Since the weather was the only negative text you put in your review, along with green smileys for every individual category, as a first time cruiser I felt that that was what I wanted to address. It was after your review that you posted about the negatives you found onboard. If that had been in the original review, I wouldn't have replied at all! And as for all the bashing I did to other reviews...REALLY? Have you taken the time to read any of the posts I did giving advice? Many thanked me and had given me many thumbs up!! Sorry if you were insulted by my reply to your review, because it was not intended to come across as a bash of your review.
Thank you for your understanding reply...
I think we've all sailed on that one ship that does nothing for us. It's a different one for each of us, and a different line, but out there all the same.
Each mainstream line has new and old, big and small. Something for everybody.
Good luck on your next cruise.
And Cruising tim.....while your bashing on everyone else for thier negative comments regarding thier cruises, I see you have quite a few negative comments about your cruises..
That's absolutely correct...I like cruising, but I just don't think that was the particular ship for me... The ports were great and we had a blast..I don't mean to sound harsh, I just think I would personally enjoy a newer ship...
Thank you for reading...
I agree with askeegan -- try a newer ship on the same line, or perhaps a different line.
Reading between the lines in your review - I believe you enjoy the idea of cruising, just not that particular ship.
Sadly weather cannot be controlled and the captain does his best to avoid rough seas but unfortunately, sometimes he cannot. The Carnival line are becoming quite aged and they have cut many corners to maximize profit. That being said, try not to be jaded against cruising, perhaps a different line may change your opinion.
Ok. Was asking because you gave all the options (above) a green smiley face which indicates they were good or great.
Well there were a few more reasons for the 3 star rating...
The ship was old and it showed.
There weren't enough activities for 11 yr. Old kids.
Ports were great though...
