Dolphin Hollywood is where I stayed for four days b4 cruise. A few feet from Boardwalk/Beach tons of restaurants in walking distance...really clean combed beach. Had studio with kitchenette full size fridge microwave etc. Old but extremely clean with daily service. $79 a night via AARP Expedia. Have free beach chairs to use also..

We booked LaQuinta Airport For our pre cruise stay for 2 nights. They have complimentary shuttle from the airport and only $8 per person for the cruise shuttle. It is walking distance to Oakwood Mall for anything we may have forgotten, and for restaurants. There's a bus stop almost right at the hotel to take us to North Hollywood Beach Park for our free day pre cruise.
Dolphin Hollywood was booked already. LaQuinta is an average price compared to other hotels in the area, and the reviews were good.

They have a low cost shuttle, I think $10/person (at least it was 2 years ago or last sailing from there). Sometimes we just take a taxi that runs about $20. We have not used Uber or Lyft, so I can't give you a possible cost from them. We like the access to the beach and walking distance to reasonable places to eat. Since the DH has a BW rewards card we also accumulate points for future stays.

Hi. We stay at the Ramada Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port. It is the only hotel that has free shuttles both to/from airport and port. Staff is super friendly, efficient and polite.

Again, nothing fancy about it but very clean ...manager left my room unlocked for me one time when I was getting in at midnight even though I hadn't paid yet ... If you google it and look at some of the other smaller places between Dolphin Hollywood and Margartaville, they all looked ok as well - several 12 unit motels scattered between the biggies. Area is perfect! Uber ride from FLL is $6.00. Free parking spots if rental car.
