If you've Cruised More than Once, What Makes One Cruise more Memorable than Another?

All cruising is memorable for me, but what makes one cruise stand out over others was the "happy" on one ship. Everyone was in a good mood, lots of laughter, no complaining. It was on the Royal Princess in the Caribbean and 10 days flew by because of the "mood". I vowed to be one of the "happy" cruisers forever.

You are so lucky!! I am so jealous. I do not get enough time off during the year to take such a cruise, but maybe after I retire my husband and I can take such a cruise. Your cruise sounded fabulous!!

Every cruise is memorable. However, taking a Grand or Grand World cruise is exceptional. It is the quality of the food, the low ratio of crew to passengers, entertainment, the many extra amenities and the level of service. Also the ports are so exotic. This year on a HAL Grand World, I visited such destinations as Sri Lanka, Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Israel, Dubai, Oman, Petra, Jordan, Suez Canal and stayed overnight in a thatched cottage over a lagoon in French Polynesia. It was a dream of a lifetime and I hope to take another such cruise again in the near future.

My husband and I went on a cruise on the Norwegian Jewel the last week in April of this year, and we went to Mexico. It was one of the best cruises that we have been on. One of the best things that made the cruise so enjoyable was taking the camel ride in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. It definitely was not on our bucket list, but it was definitely different and enjoyable. I would highly recommend it.

I would say ship and the people i'm with, followed by the ports/excursions as well as jus the service and our experience on the ship. Also the reason for the sail.... Sometimes it's just the need for a break and vacation and getting to chill that is most memorable, or your first time and you are experiencing everything!

The cruise with all the kids and grands was most memorable Love

That one was definitely memorable I am sure ... but not necessarily in a good way.

Ask the people who were on the Costa Concordia this question.

1. The ports. The best itinerary I have ever had was St. Maarten, St. Kitts, San Juan & Grand Turk.

2. The shipboard atmosphere. So far the best ships were the Glory & the Dream.

3. The food. I love to eat. So far all of the ships have had good food.

4. The service.

1. Itinerary 2. Outstanding shore excursions. 3. Stateroom size, layout, cleanliness and comfort---including balcony layout. 4.. All around ship quality and service including ship safety and commensurate crew training. 5.. Quality of meals in the Main Dining Room including no overcrowding, trained and ample kitchen and wait staff. 6. Specialty restaurants availability, quality and cuisine. 7. Cordial stateroom room service including meals served there. 8. Fitness facilities. 9. Hot tubs, are there plenty of them, are they hot, are they overcrowded?

Like you stated every cruise is memorable. So many factors from the entertainment, the ports, cruise guests...So hard to say. The most memorable for entertainment was RCL Oasis. Fot the ports - Carnival Breeze
