Ever sleep on a Top Bunk in a Cabin?

Went on one cruise with two friends and opted for two twin bunk beds, (We were conserving cruise dollars for shore excursions!) I got the top bunk and found it surprisingly comfortable and it fortunately had rails so I didn't go "overboard" in the middle of the night. It folded up during the day and was made up and ready at night.

Yup....a friend was traveling with us. She had the sofa bed, the wife had the lower bunk, I had the top

Ditto!!! I am too old and too large for bunk beds... Don't want to break it.

No and have no plans eitherHappy

Only as a young cadet on board a Royal Canadian Navy minesweeper sailing up the west side of Vancouver Island to Alaska. What a ride....

One trip we had 3 in a room, I did not take the bunk beds, I nabbed the one solo twin bed. The friend that had the bunk said it was fine, it even had it's own reading light. Typically I have a cabin to myself so I get a king.

Have not slept in a bunk on cruise as we are always in a balcony with a king or queen size but enroute home from last cruise we took the overnight Amtrak from NOLA to Chicago and then the overnite from Chicago to Buffalo and in both cases I had the upper bunk in the sleeper. I could get by with that ... just don't sit up too fast ;)

Mine had a safety belt on it - lol - but I didn't buckle in. My 6'3" son got up on it and found it comfortable. I didn't trust how secure it was and whether it would handle his weight but he said oh well, look at this way - I'll be free sailing for life if it collapses.

Nope. Always a king size for me.

Yes, on my first cruise. The first night it got rocky, and I had to brace myself to keep from falling out of the bunk. That morning I found out we had run into a hurricane.
