Door Decorating

In the past I have sailed on both Carnival and Royal Caribbean cruise lines, one of the fun things I like to do is decorate our door. This will be my first time on a Princess cruise and from the reviews I have read, Princess appears to be more conservative and mature. I want to know if anyone who have traveled on Princess in the past have decorated their door?Love

After cruise #1, when I wandered the 11th deck of Allure OTS for 2 hours trying to remember where my room was!!!

You noticed that helps too eh? heheheheheh...

We throw a little something on the door, just to make it stand out after a few too many Cocktails at the pool...

We don't do it, but we do enjoy watching other creativity. Its getting interesting as people are adding the battery powered mini-led string lights to the doors for celebrations.

I haven't seen many door decorations on our cruises with Princess. The ones I have seen tend to be subdued and low key. Decorating the cabin door is not as popular on Princess as it is on some other lines. The one time we did see a lot of decorations was on our Christmas cruise to Mexico. Lots of people were in the holiday spirit. Have fun decorating!

"There are always those who poo-poo door decorations anywhere..." Yeh, including entire cruise lines..Can you imagine how wretched it must be to make ones living looking for things to remove or delete for some trumped up reason or another? How about no more towel critters? There used to be an actual class on NCL to learn to make them. (For passengers)...I think the stewards taught each other. Regardless, it always made us smile coming back to the cabin with some critter on the bed, or hanging somewhere. (yeh I know that was illegal)..but door decorations, midnite chocolate things, shrinking menus. the list goes on....and we cruise anyway...

Well,

This isn't necessarily an answer to your question, but my husband and I are sailing on the Star Princess September 1st and I'm decorating our door.Yummy

Nothing elaborate, Just three 12 inch sparkly butterfly cutouts, from the Dollar Tree, that I've added magnets to the back. This is going to be our third cruise (first on Princess Cruiseline) and they have always "cruised" with us. No twinkly lights, nothing floor to ceiling.

I've seen posted by other cruisers on Princess fun door decorations. Nothing over the top, but fun and personal. I figure if I don't go crazy, I should blend in with others I've seen.

There are always those who "poo-poo" door decorations anywhere, but "Hey!" I'm 62 and a kid at heart. I'm getting too old to act my ageWink

Have FUN and DECORATE your door!!!Love
