Hi all I'm devastated our Msc meraviglia med 5 night cruise has been cancelled for may by MSc we have been told that we have a €100 voucher on board credit on our next cruise but the problem is all cabin prices have doubled in price so way out of our league ,this is our second cruise in 2 years to be cancelled and I feel we are not being looked after at all .we love MSc cruises and have cruised with them for many years anyone else get any joy with new booking they seem to have cancelled all their shorter cruises

Cruise cancelled

Carnival and Princess are my go to cruise lines. FYI is you have CCL stock they give you $ when you go on a cruise to spend on board.
We had a couple of carnival cruises canceled at the beginning of Covid and carnival was very generous with there ship board credits!!
I appeared to noticed more changes and cancellations from non US Based companies (I could be wrong). It is sad no matter who cancels a cruise. I have pre-booked in an attempt to hold down my price increases. We will see how this fly's.
Unfortunate news - crazy times continue as lines try to do the right thing. Had 4 cancel, but fortunately had two go. Nice to be back on the water, but with mask and excursion mandates, its not the same. Its tolerable- but NOT the same. Have a few more bookings to burn through (I hope) - but I'm not making any new reservations this year.
Sorry you have to experience this disappointment. We've have had 3 of our CCL cruises cancelled (one of them only a couple of weeks before cruises started back up), so I know how you feel.
Not knowing your situation or the circumstances surrounding the cancellation, all I can offer is to say perhaps now could be a good time for you to explore what other cruise lines have to offer. Perhaps another line is offering a similar itinerary for a more competitive price.
We've sailed on Disney, NCL, RCL and CCL, and have enjoyed them all for different reasons. I have found that we love the cruise experience more than the actual cruise line itself.
Sorry to hear this. It seems like little compensation but there isn't much to be done about. Hopefully, you find something you like within your budget.
It happens man. Sorry bout your luck. I think most of the people on the board have experienced cruise let down due to cancellation so we can all commiserate with you on this one. Cheers and hope you can rebook something equally as enjoyable.
Sorry to learn of your cancellation....join the club,,We learned long ago not to "love" any cruise line...they all do whats best for their bottom line, especially now. If you look to the right you'll see a thread from a year ago entitled "shameful rebooking/cancellation MSC policy." Its been closed to replies but I'll bet you'll find it interesting...GOOD LUCK!!
