CCL BORROWS ANOTHER 1.5 BILLION TO STAY AFLOAT...

Sounds like the insider pooh-bahs are circling the wagons (er...ships) for an extended period. There may well be a short period of "cheap fares" or "teasers" at some point but I wouldn't count on it..Something has to pay that debt.....new ships??? drydocks other than emergencies?? Refurbs?? suuuure...

Not looking good for cruise lines Nervous

Its going to be a tough recovery - the longer they stay idle, the more cash they burn through. Pulmanar (RCL company), has put 3 ships in dry storage and moved crew contracts to Celebrity. Going to see more contraction in this industry. Most likely smaller fleets will emerge.

Well we were saying that the industry was growing quite large and there were questions about having too much capacity ... I guess we can consider this a market adjustment .....

Something about this sounds familiar?! "The bigger they are the harder they fall". Personally, I hope it all works out and cruising returns for everyone to enjoy.Surprised

Just curious do you have a link to this info?

It is still evolving. What the end result is is anyone's guess at this moment
