Bottled water

Hail. I’m having a pretty hard time here. I’d like to bring some bottled water on board as I drink a lot of it. We are going on a royal Caribbean cruise in a few weeks and I found out that they don’t allow us to bring bottled water on board. Is that a technicality or if I try to bring bottled water in through my suitcase they won’t allow it? Does anybody have any feedback on this? Why has it gotten so pathetic? It’s just a huge scam. I’m really quite displeased with Royal Caribbean right now. Not just because of the water issue, but some other things that have come up as well. It’s not what I was expecting this time around. Thank you for any responses.

It's always a good idea to read the cruise contract to see what's allowed to be brought onboard. People do smuggle beverages on, but whether it's water or another beverage, you are taking a chance on being caught and having the beverage either thrown out, confiscated, or perhaps ruin an outfit of the container breaks on your luggage. Personally, I'd rather pay a few dollars extra and be honest about it.

Last cruise, we pre purchased 12 bottles mostly for the DGF that we took with us on the excursions and Mr. 'P' gave use 2-32oz on embarkation day. Plenty of water and I drank the ships water at meals.

I just got off Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas Sunday November 19th. We purchased a case(24 bottles) of bottled water at local CVS in Fort Lauderdale and taped colored luggage tag to it and it was delivered to our room. Also, I like flavored water and bought 3 1-liter bottles and threw them in my suitcase and that also got delivered to my room. Hope this helps people.

You have choices - pay for the water even if you feel it is pricey, or drink the free water all day from the Lido deck. You can bring on a refillable container from home to use if you want.

Our last cruise we brought a 24 pack of water on royal. We actually did it the last 4 cruises. Never had a problem. It was still in the shrink wrap

24 1 litre bottles on Norwegian is a little over $50.

a 12 pack is around $32

I never had a problem ordering a twelve pack for $4.00. Why lug it around.

Exactly. I always make sure to sign anything under duress, that way it’s not really binding.

Only if one agrees to the contract is it binding....right!

Hey ! It’s your vacation. You are an American and you pay your taxes. You do what you want ! That cruise contract ? Just a guideline. Not a rule.

Drink up my friend. Enjoy the water. Love
