Started cruising 4 years ago. Now we are addicted. Try to go once a year or more.

Past cruises

Navigator of the Seas

December 2019 - 4 Night Bahamas & Perfect Day (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

Navigator of the Seas

First time doing a 4 night cruise. Probably won’t do one this short again. We like the formal nights and extra days on the ship. Ports and everything about the ship were good just prefer longer cruises.

Anthem of the Seas

May 2019 - 9 Night Bermuda & Caribbean (Cape Liberty Roundtrip) Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

First time on this ship and was really impressed. Been on the oasis a few times and this ship is our new favorite. All the venues were fresh and modern. Looking forward to cruising on this ship again

Adventure of the Seas

July 2018 - 7 Night Bahamas (Cape Liberty Roundtrip) Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

Oasis of the Seas

June 2017 - 7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

So much to do on board. Wish the oasis went to different ports. Make sure to book entertainment in advance. Comedy shows will fill up fast.

Grandeur of the Seas

November 2016 - 12 Night Southern Caribbean (Baltimore Roundtrip) Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

Great cruise

The Grandeur has some of the best ports. The ship is smaller and you are able to do just about everything that ship offers. There is less crowding at ports and during excursions since less people are on board.

Grandeur of the Seas

April 2015 - 10 Night Western Caribbean (Baltimore Roundtrip) Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

Best ports

The Grandeur is our go to cruise. Close enough to drive to and offers longer cruises and many different ports. The ship has great ocean views from all the main levels inside the ship. Something you have to go out side to see on the larger ships.

Cruise tips

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

First time coming to coco cay since the remodel. Plenty of stuff to do. Lots of entertainment and food and drinks. No lines like the usual private islands. Construction was still going on the back side of the island to add more stuff.

Navigator of the Seas

Navigator of the Seas

Go outside on the 4th floor and then walk to the front of the ship to access the helicopter pad. Has great views and most people never go.

Miami, Florida

Stayed here for one night before getting on the ship. Hampton inn on Collins street. Block from the beach. Went to the beach and hung out at the hotel pool. Short distance to the port using ride share cost 13 dollars.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

We were in port in May. Had the excursion to horseshoe bay. The water was pretty cold but the beach was very nice. Price to rent chairs and umbrellas is probably the most expensive we ever encountered. After the excursion we went back to the ship to drop off the beach stuff and returned to the explore Kings wharf. Lots of souvenir shops and artisan shops. Also a hand full of places to get food and drinks. It was our first time to Bermuda. We had a good time and would definitely come back.

Nassau, Bahamas

Don’t buy the conk shells they sell in the markets. You will be forced to leave them on the dock. Saw a whole pile of them last cruise. Then they resell them to unknowing tourists.

Grandeur of the Seas

Grandeur of the Seas

If you have the ultimate drink package you can use it on all Starbucks purchases on the Grandeur. This is an extra charge on larger ships

Grandeur of the Seas

Grandeur of the Seas

The week of Thanksgiving had over 500 kids on board. The week after had 20. The 10 and 12 night cruises have a lot older crowd. Entertainment options for kids is pretty slim if you compare to a oasis class ship or larger

Grandeur of the Seas

Grandeur of the Seas

If you have the top drink package Starbucks is included on this ship.

Nassau, Bahamas

Same thing every time. Port should be better once they do their renovation. Just walked around for about an hour and came back to the ship. Did not do an excursion. Have done just about all of them since we have been here probably 5 times.

Oasis of the Seas

Oasis of the Seas

Bring the cruise compass with you. There is so much stuff going on all he time. You don’t want to miss out on anything.

Castries, St. Lucia

Did the beach break at Reduit beach. Beach was great. Most people stayed in the water to avoid the salesman who were on full force on this trip.

St. John's, Antigua

Did the lobster snorkel catamaran. By far the best private beaches in the Caribbean.

Grandeur of the Seas

Grandeur of the Seas

It’s a smaller ship with great views of the ocean inside all the main levels

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Went to the Dutch side to the beach by the airport. Long taxi ride and the beach was very small and crowded. Water had a horrible current and was pretty steep to get to the water. Not recommended for elderly or small kids. Ended up going back to the beach next to port and had a good time there

Oasis of the Seas

Oasis of the Seas

Keep a cruise compass with you. There is always so much stufff going on you will miss some thing.

Cozumel, Mexico

Did the mayan tulum excursion. Was a bit of a bus ride but worth it. Lots of walking when you get there.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Nice experience. Water had a lot of seaweed along the shore and a little rocky. Bring water shoes. Once you get past the rocks and sea weed the water was great

Grandeur of the Seas

Grandeur of the Seas

On the 10 day or longer cruises it’s a older crowd. The week during Thanksgiving there was over 300 kids. The week after there was 10. Some of the best ports of call are found on the Grandeur.

Castries, St. Lucia

Went to Reduit beach and was very disappointed with the harassment from the locals. Been to many islands and this was by far the worst. Water and beach was very nice. Just about everyone stayed in the water until the excursion was over to avoid the harassment.
