Best cruise and travel movies

What movies do you love that are filmed on a cruise or about cruising or have inspired you to travel to certain destinations?

I think I still need to see that one! (can't remember). And also Hotel Transylvania 3 is set on a ship, even though it's all animated.

No one has mentioned the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie "Chipwrecked". I thought it was fun.

TV: "Love Boat" (been on the ship that the revival show was filmed on) and "Gilligan's Island" (actually been to the island that's used in the opening credits).

Movies: I know it's a holiday one that was a made for TV movie, but it fits: "Christmas In Paradise", which was filmed in Puerto Rico and was released about a year after I spent Christmas Eve in Puerto Rico.

There's one special I'm dying to see: I love "Rick Steves' Europe" and he does a special on I believe the Celebrity Reflection!

Another good cruise travelogue is "The Voyager" with Josh Garcia on NBC (I think). He does a travelogue on Carnival Cruises and films an episode in every port as well as activities available on the ship, so you really get a sense of what it's like to cruise.

Samantha Brown did a special on "Passport To Great Weekends" on another Carnival ship, focusing on what it's like to cruise.

"Vacation Creation" on CBS (I think) is fabulous for first time cruisers. Every week, a family gets nominated to go on a Carnival cruise of their dreams! They showcase various activities onboard the ship as well as shore excursions in the port, so it's a little educational and fun!

Titanic

Well...I don't know where you heard that. I heard it became the biggest floating combination casino/Chinese buffet in the world...moored somewhere off Macao...changed the name to "LUCKY SZECHUAN", or whatever that is in Mandarin.

The Titanic was shown on our first cruise as we awaited the long debarkation time.(and at that time it was longer than it is now days). Probably wise to wait until the end of the cruise. I didn't get to see the end, but I understand the ship sank.Wink

Yeh,,but then, I wasn't paying 3k+ for the experience every time we got the urge. Besides, lounging in a recliner in the evening sippin fluids and munching just might be ANOTHER thing of the past. Besides, TV onboard is suckful...not that THATS what we're onboard to do...but, it may be the ONLY thing to do...

Posiden adventure and Posiden

@Yankee47 @OldGreyWolf, I’ve often joked that both of your movies should be shown onboard. That way if you have any bad experiences on your cruise, you would be reminded that it could always be worse.
