So, word on the street is that if you book through a Travel Agent/Company, you can find some very nice surprise perks that come along with it. Has anyone had any experience with this? I guess I'm picturing getting to your stateroom and finding chocolate strawberries or a cake if you are celebrating something, or maybe extra credits for something (excursion, dining, etc)?

My TA had some choco strawberries and OBC delivered to us -- was quite a pleasant suprise!
On my first cruise, our TA got us strawberries and Champagne. On the second she managed some spa treatments.
Sometimes a TA will go over and above.
I have had wine bottles and OBC sent to my cabin from my TA. I have also sometimes gotten a better price with a TA then if I booked direct with the cruise line.
We booked our upcoming RCL cruise with one of their vacatplanners since it’s ourfirst time cruising with this line. She has said we will have some chocolate covered strawberries and a cheese plate in our room for us.
Our TA had a bottle of wine delivered to our room for our anniversary- nice touch.
We sailed the Koningsdam in December and was very pleasantly surprised to find our TA has sent us chocolate strawberries and a bottle of champagne. Nice way to start the cruise!
Sparkling wine, champaign or choc covered strawberries
When I was booking a 14 night Transatlantic cruise I asked the told the TA that it was reverse age discrimination that I could not get the ""Senior discount" True I was not a senior, but I argued that since I am retired and life off of fixed income and savings I was in the same situation as seniors. After some back and forth we got a "Romance" package from the TA that included,
1. Breakfast in Cabin one morning including Mimosa's, eggs, toast, potato's, coffee, fruit juice, pastries and fruit plates.
2. Hors d'ouvre's delivered to cabin before Formal night.
3. Dinner for 2 in the Steak House
4. Chocolate covered Strawberries and Sparkling wine.
It was not the Senior discount, but it was nice
P.S..........If you do not ask, you do not get.
