After two years . . .

Finally on board the Emerald Princess. After a less than stellar boarding procedure, after two drinks all has been forgiven. It is very apparent that the ship is at reduced capacity. The streamlined muster drill (watch a video to unlock the tv and then scan the medallion at the muster station) is quick and easy.

I had really lost the reason why I love to cruise. In the last hour it is all flooding back.

Cruise docs and luggage tags were ready this morning...I told my wife and before she could finish saying "Do you wanna...." I blurted out GET THE LUGGAGE OUT OF THE ATTIC?! - Luckily we were on the same brainwave, otherwise that could have been awkward....

Packing will commence in 30 Min...and then I'll stare at the luggage longingly until December 15, when we fly to Key West. Big Smile

I don't want to hear it anymore! I'm even looking forward to the packing and the drive to the port (about a long days worth) with my dearly beloved...on Thanksgiving Day no less so we can get tested the next day. .....one thing I've noticed...its been sooo long since our last one (Nov the something 2019) that I'm totally stressed I'm forgetting something, or or or or ...all I know is what I used to be able to do practically blindfolded to prepare for a cruise I have to think about and stare at it...

By the time I get on Symphony on December 18, it will have been 989 Days since I last stepped on a cruise ship.

The next 30 days are going to be extraordinarily LONG...This trip has been delayed 602 days...4 cancellations...

I just need a vacation....I may handcuff myself to the deck rail until we pull out of Miami...

I had really lost the reason why I love to cruise. In the last hour it is all flooding back.

My response to that: I also forgot :(

This is the second time I am cruising in the pandemic.

No problems there!

Don't jinx it, just keep lubricated.....

Thanks for all the well wishes.

Lucky. Have a great time. (as if I have to tell you to do that)

Awesome news man. Bon voyage and enjoy the cruise

I know what you are feeling! I didn’t want to get off the ship on our last cruise because that feeling was back so strong.
