Best Panama Canal Cruise, ever.
This was one of our best cruises and loved the personal service we received while staying in a Pinnacle suite. We remember the people who work to keep us comfortable more than we remember the places we visit.

Great Alaska Cruise
Even though this was a late in the season Alaska cruise we were excited to be back cruising. Holland America made this cruise safe and very efficient. As usual, Holland America's crew members provided excellent service throughout. The Neiuw Amsterdam is a beautiful ship and seemed to be very clean and well maintained.

Nieuw Amsterdam

Cruise tips
Paamiut (Frederikshab), Greenland
The upside of this port was the icebergs and whales. The downside, the swarms of gnats and mosquitoes. Take bug spray and wear a net. Nothing much to see on land and the only thing open was a tiny place selling mosquito nets.
We have cruised to Alaska 8 times and loved viewing the Hubbard Glacier for at least an hr on each cruise. However this cruise we spent very little time at the glacier, just a quick turnaround.
Westerdam
Some venues are quite cool, especially the MainStage so dress appropriately.
Wish the Alaska cruise could bypass Victoria. Our stop was late and short so the excursions (only 3) were not worth the time.
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
With this experience and past experiences we find Florida a great state to catch a cruise ship and go somewhere else.
Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska
This was a very beautiful area. Would have enjoyed spending more time there.
We love Ketchikan but our stay was only a little over 4 hrs. We had an excursion but it was very rushed because of our short stay.
Difficult to see, lots of rain, fog and mist.
