Lovely ship: To bad so many people got sick by trishgf

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Queen Victoria

Overall a lovely cruise with a few unfortunate drawbacks. No one's fault that the wind messed up the Cape Town and Walvis Bay stops. The respiratory virus nicknamed the Cunard cough could have been mitigated if ship had mandated that people who were sick stay in their rooms or wear masks when in public. Having people constantly cough on you in bars, restaurants and buses was insane. The GI issue that was reported prior to getting to San Francisco and subsequently occurred again after leaving South Africa was concerning. I think they focused too much on food handling and not on contaminated water in the rooms.

World Cruise by dharmeshjivan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Mary 2

During our voyage, the Middle Eastern leg of the journey was unexpectedly cancelled and substituted with a revised itinerary featuring the same ports, minus two. While understandable, it would have been ideal if alternative destinations were selected to maintain the original excitement and variety. Furthermore, we felt that the brief, single-day stops at certain ports were insufficient, leaving us longing for more time to explore and experience the local culture.

On board activities not to our liking. Unlike any of our other 65 cruises. by matlocklarry1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Sky

We have taken 66 cruises. This one may have been the last one, as it was a terrible experience, jail-like, but with better food. On board activities were chosen for the stuffiest of guests, who only played Bridge, or wanted to be writers. Never again for Viking Ocean.

Amazing Ultimate World Cruise by diannearcher

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas

This Ultimate World Cruise was absolutely amazing. Royal Caribbean jumped through hoops all the way to make everything perfect! They dealt with schedule changes, protests, weather, and other unforeseen situations (which could only be expected with 274 days of sailing) perfectly and flawlessly. I was constantly amazed at how effortless the crew made things look. Royal Caribbean, Serenade of the Seas ship and its crew Nothing short of amazing! I would encourage anyone and everyone to take a royal Caribbean cruise. And if Royal Caribbean offers another Ultimate World Cruise , do it do it do it. We had the time of our lives!!

Disappointing world cruise by Goesbyship

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Island Princess

Saw some interesting places, but had far too many canceled ports. The ship is old, outdate d with a gym in a dark, windowless room on deck 6. The food was only fair. That said, the staff and crew were wonderful. The entertainment was only fair. Very few production shows., Comedians were terrible. There was only one gentleman who presented interesting enrichment talks on WWII. The other "enrichment" talks were about self-improvement and long-dead entertainers. We were shocked at this paltry offering. Never again on the Island Princess, and maybe never again with Princess.
