Lovely ship: To bad so many people got sick by trishgf

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Queen Victoria

Overall a lovely cruise with a few unfortunate drawbacks. No one's fault that the wind messed up the Cape Town and Walvis Bay stops. The respiratory virus nicknamed the Cunard cough could have been mitigated if ship had mandated that people who were sick stay in their rooms or wear masks when in public. Having people constantly cough on you in bars, restaurants and buses was insane. The GI issue that was reported prior to getting to San Francisco and subsequently occurred again after leaving South Africa was concerning. I think they focused too much on food handling and not on contaminated water in the rooms.

World Cruise by dharmeshjivan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Mary 2

During our voyage, the Middle Eastern leg of the journey was unexpectedly cancelled and substituted with a revised itinerary featuring the same ports, minus two. While understandable, it would have been ideal if alternative destinations were selected to maintain the original excitement and variety. Furthermore, we felt that the brief, single-day stops at certain ports were insufficient, leaving us longing for more time to explore and experience the local culture.

On board activities not to our liking. Unlike any of our other 65 cruises. by matlocklarry1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Sky

We have taken 66 cruises. This one may have been the last one, as it was a terrible experience, jail-like, but with better food. On board activities were chosen for the stuffiest of guests, who only played Bridge, or wanted to be writers. Never again for Viking Ocean.

Amazing Ultimate World Cruise by diannearcher

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas

This Ultimate World Cruise was absolutely amazing. Royal Caribbean jumped through hoops all the way to make everything perfect! They dealt with schedule changes, protests, weather, and other unforeseen situations (which could only be expected with 274 days of sailing) perfectly and flawlessly. I was constantly amazed at how effortless the crew made things look. Royal Caribbean, Serenade of the Seas ship and its crew Nothing short of amazing! I would encourage anyone and everyone to take a royal Caribbean cruise. And if Royal Caribbean offers another Ultimate World Cruise , do it do it do it. We had the time of our lives!!

Disappointing world cruise by Goesbyship

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Island Princess

Saw some interesting places, but had far too many canceled ports. The ship is old, outdate d with a gym in a dark, windowless room on deck 6. The food was only fair. That said, the staff and crew were wonderful. The entertainment was only fair. Very few production shows., Comedians were terrible. There was only one gentleman who presented interesting enrichment talks on WWII. The other "enrichment" talks were about self-improvement and long-dead entertainers. We were shocked at this paltry offering. Never again on the Island Princess, and maybe never again with Princess.

Beyond Expectations by Cruiser97753790

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Zuiderdam

Wonderful trip around the world with excellent crew who surpassed our expectations (it seems every need was happily anticipated and attended to) and world ports that both surprised and enchanted. A large part of our bucket list was checked off, not as achievements but rather as experiences to be cherished. A world cruise is not for everyone and possibly not again for us, but we were thrilled to have this opportunity.

It was our worst ‘vacation’ experience ever !!! by drcaligari

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pacific Princess / Destination: World Cruise

The best part of our cruise was when we left the ship in Maui. The crew and management refused to address the fact that we were forced to be in a room that was inferior to what we had paid for !!! If this ship were used to transport troops to war zones — they would complain about these accommodations!!!

Interesting Panama cruise by ntee

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Insignia / Destination: World Cruise

It was a pleasant and good experience, albeit some minor issues: the ship did not dock at Corinto, Nicaragua because of some perceived troubles (security issue); however, the ship did not give credit for the port charges (on other cruises, we always received credit if the ship did not dock at a certain port), Oceania only issued credit for passengers who bought excursion tours. What a shame!!!!

Enchanting Panama Canal cruise by vschulz6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Insignia / Destination: World Cruise

We took this cruise because of the itinerary and we had a great time and met some interesting people. This cruise had about 190+ people who were cruising around the world. For some of us who were not part of this “elite group”, felt like we were an afterthought. Everything was catered to them. But I guess, that’s understandable because that’s where the money is. But overall, our cruise was great and will cruise with Oceania again.

Good service, delicious food, excellent entertainment. Especially ballroom and latin dancing with the friendly dancing host make a big different. Afternoon tea in Queens room also is a plus.

Far East Cruise by pwk45242

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Insignia / Destination: World Cruise

Overall very good. Disappointed to have missed Shanghai due to weather. Ship's staff were well trained and very accommodating. The Insignia is an older smaller ship and the cabin dimensions were tight. Food quality and presentation were very good.

disappointed by Monarr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Majestic Princess / Destination: World Cruise

Overall I'd say we were disappointed with this experience

I don't know if it was because we had high expectations

for a new big ship the boat was new and big but most of the staff was unfriendly and rude some time! specially the guest service and the waitress in the breakfast restaurant and it will take very long to get your food, several time people just leave because they have excursion to go to.  We often felt like we were bothering them, I was expecting nice smily staff.

Except in the dinner our two waiters (Cristina felongco and Novak iric ) and ( Ronald Regondola) the Head Waiter was very nice they know what we want specially I do have savers allergy to sea food they did work with me to make me happy they smile and laugh very pleasure people.

About the activity and entertainment i the ship very poor.

The room was clean and stateroom (Robert Espiritu) was nice

I went last year in a Norwegian cruise I was very happy may be when u compare u get disappointed

Nice getaway by camaropr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Insignia / Destination: World Cruise

The destinations were magnificent. A great boat for very mature people.

The food was incredible, the best cruise food I have had.

The activities on board were not for me at all.

The entertainment was just OK, mostly singers.

The staff were so but so good, all of them, they are there to please you.

The best cruise we've ever been on by khart46

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crystal Symphony / Destination: World Cruise

First of all, Crystal Cruise Lines was so far above any other line we've sailed with, in terms of service, food, accommodation and ambiance, with only 900 passengers and almost 600 crew, that it defies description. The only extra charges were for excursions. Everything else is included, even special dietary requirements, different wines if the current day's offering was not to my satisfaction, and four seatings at the speciality restaurants. It makes for a completely relaxing environment for the entire trip. Add to that the interesting speakers, bridge teacher, and other attractions, as well as a fabulous itinerary around New Zealand, and this was one amazing trip.

Milford Sound, New Zealand (fiord)

Great Crystal Symphony cruise by FloridaDeb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Crystal Symphony / Destination: World Cruise

This was our first Crystal cruise.  The food and staff was outstanding.  We enjoyed the quality of the lecturers and the selection of excursions.  Many of the excursions sold out but the ship staff was very accommodating on wait listing for availability.

escellent by Cruiser57299955

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Amsterdam / Destination: World Cruise

Everything was perfect and well thought out. The crew members could not be nicer. The only thing is the internet. We paid for 1000 minutes and wasted about 600 minutes waiting for loading.. They blame the satellite. Three years ago was the same thing. Princess on the other hand, gives you 2000 minutes per person and it works. Definitely they should be able to do something about.
