We have been on over 30 cruises and mostly Royal Caribbean, but many other lines as well. Adventure is a great ship; it is going into rehab later this spring to install a Flow Rider which will make this a GREAT ship! The ship is well maintained and the crew is excellent! I would say the food was a lesser quality than other times we have cruised, but not enough to make a matter over. The boarding process was long and arduous because the week before we sailed they had mass rotovirus outbreak and they took the time and care to do a deep sanitation of the ship, which we were grateful as there were NO signs of any illness on board. But, after that boarding wait, as things as usual for Royal Carib! Easy on and easy off when in ports. The Ice show was FANTASTIC!!!! Do not miss this! The other shows were lesser quality than we have had in the past; who knows why? But, the casino was fine; except, they allow smokers so for us non smokers, it is blah! IF you are a smoker, you will like this ship; lots of places to smoke! Loved the big screen at the pool and the musicians on board were great!!!! So overall; this cruise gets a VERY GOOD!!!
Take the Lazy River tour; we did not, but heard it was by far the only thing to do on Grenada. WE have been twice now and neither time was good. Grenada needs training on how to handle the tourists; it is a bit out of hand aggressive.
Go to the El San Juan for breakfast and dinner at Princesa Gastrobar in Old San Juan.
Go to Half Moon Bay; breathtaking beauty; sad to see the beach eroded and run down with restaurants closed and dirty beach at Long Bay.
Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.
Either go to the Buccaneer or Hotel on the Cay; both are great day trips.
Take a tour of St. Thomas and then take the ferry to St. John and go to Trunk Bay; you will never regret it! BEAUTIFUL!
Adventure of the Seas
Make sure you go to the Promenade and get the pizza and sandwiches; best kept secret on the ship!!!!! Plus the frozen yogurts at the pool are delicious!
Most definitely take the boat/land tour with Spencer Ambrose!!!!! He is by far the best and the best time and the best price! It will be your fav of the whole trip!
