Best ship ever! So much to do!!

Absolutely LOVED this ship! The service was excellent, our dining room staff of Arfirst, I Gusti and Puta was incredible! So professional, never had to ask twice for anything! Our room steward Xavier was so hardworking, and was like a ghost. We never saw him go in the room, but it was always spotless! So friendly, and gracious! Loved all the food choices on this ship! All were excellent too. Rode the Skyride, never been so scared, but it was so much fun! Our bar waitress Natasa (we had table 441) was excellent. Our room # was 7461, so happy we spent the extra money for a Havana room! Worth every penny. Only things I didn't like...Did not like the Atrium...there was no breathless feeling when you see it for the first time, and the Liquid Lounge. I am quite short, and I had a terrible time finding a seat where I could see. Don't like the setup in there at all. Thanks to Paulo in the Kors store who helped me find a gift for my friend..such a sweet person! All the wonderful workers on the Lido deck..all so friendly and helpful, and they work sooo hard! Just had a awesome time! Want to do Horizon next!

Carnival Dream

July 2016 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (New Orleans Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Dream

Awesome cruise, incredible crew!!

It was a wonderful cruise! Our wait staff was the best I have ever had, and I have been on 9 cruises! Anthony, Albert and Bagus, (and Sean, the matri'D were so exceptional! My grandsons were on the cruise, and the wait staff, especially Anthony and Bagus, were so great to the kids, my 7 year old cried when he had to leave Anthony! He did card tricks, and all kinds of cool stuff to keep the kids busy while we ate. They brought their food right away, they were just fabulous! Our room steward Raabe, was excellent too, never had to ask for anything!

Each evening I had a glass of Moscato, and they ran out, and didn't have any for the last two nights, which I found odd. The dancers were just amazing, the show they put on was the best ever! You can tell how much work went into this show! Talked to one of the dancers named Chris, from Pennsylvania, and he was so kind and patient talking to us, such a nice young man! My daughter had a problem with one of the Build a Bear associates. The leg on the leopard she bought ripped, and when she brought it back the girl that waited on her was incredibly rude to her. If Carnival wants this program to succeed, then the associates running it have to be nicer. She found out (from a nice young man that took care of her) that it had been overstuffed, and that is why it ripped. He didn't argue with her, he was very nice, and gave her a new one. Also, need to get the places where the kids are measured for the waterslides in sync...on one, my grandson was tall enough to go down the slides, on the other one he wasn't, and they sat and argued with my daughter about it, and then told her he couldn't go down ANY of the slides...I felt that was really wrong. This was a vacation of a lifetime, their FIRST cruise, and he was not allowed on any waterslides. He is only four, and he loves waterslides. We should have gone to guest services and complained, but I know it really upset my daughter and her husband.

A great Crew on the Carnival Valor!

Just returned from a cruise on The Valor! Many crew memebers made it a fabulous cruise! Our room steward, Jacinto, was right on the spot with everything we needed! Our dining room staff, Vladimir, Victor and ALex at late seating, were so much fun, and did their best to take excellent care of us! We went to Scarlett's steakhouse on Wednesday evening, and our waitress,Jelena from Croatia, and our bar person, Chure from Thailand, were awesome. They gave us suggestions, and helped us make choices. They were both so courteous and friendly, it made for a great evening!

Just loved the cruise director, Fillipe, he was just a blast! Also, JoJo in the casino lounge, she was just so energetic and fun, she had all us women up dancing! I won the Motown trivia contest!

Great time with my sisters!!

I liked the decor of the ship very much! I thought it was beautiful, especially the dining room. I never felt crowded, and it was very clean. Was with my three sisters, two from Arizona, one from Milwaukee, and me, from central Wisconsin, and all of my brother-in-laws, and they liked the decor also. Much better than the Miracle.

Love Carnival, best cruise yet!!

The ship in my opinion was beautiful, and it was spotless too. It is showing some wear, but when you realize how many people are on this ship each year, I think it is kept up unbelievably well.

Be ready for a great time! So much to do, great staff, cruise director is fabulous, DO TRY the SKYRIDE! What a rush!! Try all the food options, they are all so good! Do the Thrill Theater, it was so much fun! Main thing...be kind to the staff.. they try so hard to give you a good time.

Miami, Florida

I love to stay at The Hampton Inn, Blue Lagoon. Beautiful hotel, but the shuttle to the port is terrible, so take a taxi!

New Orleans, Louisiana

I got my reservation at my hotel a year a head of time...good thing I did! Huge convention in town! Stayed at Country Inn and Suites in French Quarter, it was outstanding! So beautiful!

Carnival Dream

Try all the different food choices..try the barbecue, the Pasta Bella was excellent, (but be prepared to wait a long time) the Mongolian wok, etc. All were excellent.

Carnival Valor

Pizza line is always long, they don't make it ahead, but I think it is because they are trying to give it to you as fresh as possible. A upgrade on the food in the dining room would be good. It just isn't nearly as good as it used to be.
