Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Took the ship's excursion to Rome as port is about 2 hours drive away. Rome is beautiful and only able to see a little of lot in our trip. Will definitely return for a few days break.

Toulon, France

Did ship's excursion to St Tropez/Port Grimaud. Both lovely places and well worth the visit.

Southampton (London), England

Used AB parking, very easy and convenient.

Lisbon, Portugal

Lovely place, easy to get to from port. Great sail in under the bridge. Took a tuk tuk ride which was great. The driver took us wherever we wanted to go and stopped for pics. Gave commentary throughout.

Malaga, Spain

Easy to walk in to Malaga from the ship. Lovely place to visit.

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

Beautiful port. Had tender docking which was straightforward. Just queued to get off the ship. Had ship's excursion to Monaco/Monte Carlo. Lovely places to visit.

Gibraltar (U.K.)

Easy to walk around the town, didn't do an excursion.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

Took ship's excursion to Pisa/Florence. Would like to visit Florence again as not enough time to enjoy all the sights.

Independence of the Seas

The food is so good and you do put on the pounds, so use the stairs for exercise instead of the lifts.
