awesome experience

The Carnival Sensationis wonderful. The ship is very clean and very well maintained. The interior stateroom we stayed in was very, very comfortable and we were treated well. The food is incredibly good and in never ending supply. All of the wait staff, bartenders, etc... are very friendly, courteous, and helpful. It rained quite a bit but there were plenty of on-board activities to participate in or not, all to your choosing.

Carnival Splendor

Carnival Splendor

Enough Carnival for us

Left port one hour late, all food lines had been shut down already so nothing to eat until supper at 6PM. Itinerary had been changed due to the boat sucking up a fishing net on the previous cruise. They left port with a broken boat. Now we would have one day in Cabo and two in Puerto Vallarta - apparently the only place the boat could be fixed. Two days turned into three days with no communication as to why we were still in port until 9:00 AM. Now arrival back to Los Angeles would be Monday instead of Sunday. 3000+ people on the boat with most having to now change their return home travel plans. 3 phone lines going out and 6-8 computers for 3000 people to try to get ahold of family and airlines. My husband spent one whole day in line for a computer and I spent one whole day in the cabin trying to get a line out on the phone. What the crew called our "free day at sea" ended up costing us $700 in new airline tickets and a $250 fee on the first set of airline tickets. Carnival says they will reimburse $200. Thanks for that. The food was pretty inedible. Most of it was cold except the yogurt and lettuce - they were nice and warm. Crab cakes were actually spoiled, prime rib was cold - not room temp even - cold. The eggs are reconstituted. Bar wait service was nearly non-existent after 2PM and they charge you for 2 shots of alcohol if you order a one shot drink in a tall glass, rather than a small glass. Entertainment was not worth going to, the band was not any good. Staff were non-responsive about the issues and officers were difficult to find with nothing to say to you anyway. Disembarkation was a chaotic mess with 3000 people jammed into crowded waiting areas with no communication as to why.

Carnival Splendor

Probably will not sail on Carnival again. This was the only vacation I was glad was finally over.

Nassau, Bahamas

Awesome town, awesome places to see, even just walking around town is a wonderful time.
