Cruise tips
Loved this port. Beautiful little gem. Did the Jeep tour, started with a cloudy day, then sunshine, got to see the Lakes and cute interesting spots in the island. Will love to come back again.
We loved this port. Since it was our first time here we did the White Pass train ride, didn’t purchase from the cruise ship. A lot of history with breathtaking views. On the way back walked around town and visited a local restaurant, had Alaskan king crab, bit pricey, but had to try it. We will love to visit again and explore at our own leisure.
We got to port late, had to wait due to high winds. Once there we enjoyed our excursions, went gold panning, salmon bake (the setting was very cute) and later took the MT Roberts Tram. Overall, very nice small town.
Got rainy weather all day, but was still able to enjoy awesome views from our cabin. Perfect day for the little one to take advantage of the kids adventure program RCL has a great kids program.
Beautiful town. Visited the gardens and walked around downtown afterwards. I am glad we cruise with Royal Caribbean, because they seem to be the only ones that spend a whole day there. Taxis are very pricey so we got around in public transportation, which was very cheap and good.
We stayed for 3 days after our cruise. Went to the Flight Museum and the next day rented a vehicle and went to Mount Rainier National Park, climbed 4 miles up the mountain, amazing experience. The only downside of this city is $$$ everything is very expensive. If staying for couple of days, rent a vehicle!
