Great value for the money. The crew was very friendly and the on board entertainment was good. The food was also very good. Lots of variety and venues. Would definitely cruise with Holland America again.

Very good service, especially in the Lido meal facility, as staff went out of their way to insure guests were tended to and their needs were met.

It was about what was expected for the price we paid. Would have been good if we could have gotten an upgrade. It was a 10 day cruise, and we asked for it the first 2 days, and were told none were available.
Ship tip
Clientele are primarily retired. Good to know if you are younger and are expecting to mingle with others of a similar age. Having said that, there is a benefit to cruising with this demographic, as they are more laid back, and are very friendly, welcoming, and social.
Great port! I had read all about the old city and the European flavor, but still felt as though I had been transformed back in time. Architecture and building are lovely, and felt that tourists were welcomed all around. Had a few slight problems, e.g. had to figure out how to use the parking meters as well as gas station pump. Everything was in French. A kind gentleman helped me figure out the parking meter.

It's scheduled for refurbishment in a couple of weeks. We sailed on that ship in Dec 2016 and had a wonderful experience but did see some wear, so a refurbishment will be great.
