Review summary

This was our 1st cruise, celebrating our 40 anniversary and The Zaandam staff made it such a memorable occasion. I will recommend this cruise to everyone I meet. Well done to all.

Absolutely amazing. Especially the staff. Han and Bangun were our servers every night and were a delight to chat with. Such humble and joy filled guys. We loved our restaurant experience because of those 2 guys.

Onboard Activities

I did all the creative art classes the were made available. Rose presented the classes with such aplomb creativity and professionalism. She is such a great asset.

Entertainment

We watched to shows which we loved but could do with a better choreographer. The dancers were great. We loved the Band. Jessica did a great job and her repertoire of songs and genre was amazing. We loved sitting and dancing listening to her, way past our bedtimes.

Amazing staff Our Room Staff was Eka and Tau. Such humble and joyful guys. Always smiling and did such a great job of keeping our cabin clean and tidy. Their towel sculptures were amazing and so creative. And the chocolates left behind were always a bonus for us. Loved our interactions with them. Will highly recommend them. Dinner service staff were Han and Bangun. I looked forward to dinner every night, not just because of the good food but the gloriously good service and friendly mess these 2 guys gave us. Highly recommended them. Great staff members. 2 ladies in the cook line that I interacted with regularly is Poi and Odeth. So friendly and personable. Made me feel like they were serving me only and never got flustered even though there were some challenging guests on board. Beautiful people. And highly recommended The coffee bar staff Zel and Zelinda were amazing. Always on point and there station ready to serve with a smile. Camera ladies Bonnie & Isa. Such great friendly ladies. Loved our chats with them Pumi. Now here is someone that’s gonna turn the world upside down. Or maybe the right way up. What a character out of the top shelves most amazing person on the ship staff m. We had the privilege to have lunch with her and got to know her a little. Highly highly recommend her. And all the staff that were continually cleaning the ship. Guests just walk by them, never noticing but I did. Thank you for to each one of them and lastly to all the staff we never see. Those that keep the kitchens running the chefs the doctors the engine room operators. And of course the captain and his crew. Thank you for a great cruise. This was our first cruise and you made me want to cruise again. Thank you.

Great layout. I would want to go on a bigger ship. And the common areas were always clean and tidy. The staff did a great job.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin size was adequate. We only slept unit. And beds were great. Showers were perfect with great water pressure. And Eka and Tau did a great job keeping it clean and tidy.
