Review summary

Great Cruise, very relaxing, service as always on Holland America was top notch.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Bus from hotel to ship by Holland America. Easy sign in because we had a suite.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was tasty. Missed the chilled soups and apple, berry crisps. They had banana and pineapple crisps. Only one strawberry.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Enjoyed the America's Kitchen program. BBC wild live movies. We like to relax and read.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Really good groups playing the the bars at night.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had early seating at the same table and our waiters and wine steward were great. Made dining a pleasure. Our room stewards quickly learned when we would be out of our room for am and pm care.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Much like all of Holland America ships. Once you have been on one you can find your way around easily.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Good size, room to move around without bumping into the furniture. Kept clean.

Ports of call

Montreal, Quebec

5 out of 5
We took the only tour offered for Montreal. (we did the 14 day cruise from Boston to Montreal and back to Boston. Left Boston May 11th.) Good over view of Montreal. I had been to Montreal once before and did not realize it was an island.

Cruise St. Lawrence River

5 out of 5
Peaceful. Nice to see both sides of the river.

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
Beautiful city. Did bus tour of city. When going to Montreal, we had to leave a bit early because the tide was coming in and the river was high from flooding. Had to get under the bridge.

Cruise Gulf Of St. Lawrence

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

4 out of 5
Rain, colder weather prevented our horse tour from happening. They wouldn't take the horses out.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
Liked the Celtic music at the building near the ship with the worlds largest violin. The oatcakes were very good. Coming back, it was so windy that the ship could not dock.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Great horse tour of city. Driver very knowledgeable about the history of city.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Bus tour around the island. Coming back we were going to do Acadia Nat. Park but it was so foggy and rainy that you would only see bottom of trees and no view from Cadillac Mountain

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
Before cruise began spent day in Boston doing the on/off bus. Great way to see the city.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quickly off the ship. Quickly got taxi to airport. I think it was cheaper than the cruise line bus would have cost.
