Review summary

This ship and cruiseline went beyond or expectations. We cruised to Alaska 10 years ago and loved it. We expected to enjoy this trip but it was even better and exceeded our expectations. The ship is really lovely, very nice crew, lots of activities offered and very comfortable and roomy staterooms. You can't ask for more!!

All the food was good and some was excllent.

Entertainment

The singers and dancers were great and had more energy than I've ever seen! Thy also had a variety show with a comedian, magician and sax player that was wonderful.

Children's Programs

We went late after many schools were back in session and my 12 yr old daughter had a great time. The staff went above and beyond to include her in kids club and keep her happy and busy.

This is a mid size ship and it was perfect! It had all the ammenities of a large ship with a smaller, more intimate feel.

Cabin / Stateroom

The room we had was just a regular outsiide cabin but it was larger than others we had been in and had alot of closets and drawers. The best was the bathroom that was large enough that 2 people could be getting ready in it at the same time and even had a bathtub!!

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

We went whale watching and saw probably 20 whales! Thy guarentee wildlife sightings or $100 refund so you really can't go wrong!! The staff on the excursion were so nice and very knowledgable! We were able to see 5 glaciers from the boat!

This was a tendered port and we were greeted AT OUR SHIP with our excursion boat! We saw LOTS of wildlife including a bear. Again the staff were so nice and knowledgable. They brought us back to the town and we had plenty of time to wander around and see this lovely town

We took the duck tour and had a ball. The guides were fun and entertaining and we saw alot.

A lovely tour guide - the only down side was that this was a nighttime port so it was difficult to see the sites in the dark but on the upside the night skylights were beautiful!

Pros: Very Elegant ship

Cons: Lido buffet is not open 24 hours.

Recommends Zaandam? Yes!
