Review summary

Would do again but visiting different ports further north just for a change of venue.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and well organized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent Service and great food. Of course, being an Alaska cruise indulged in any and all seafood available for every meal.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Having cruised on larger ships and longer cruises the activities were somewhat limited in comparison but understood as to why. Limited venues that were not bar related. The game room offered plenty of things to occupy us while at sea.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Only saw three shows. Quartet was somewhat disappointing. The dance performance was well done. The comedian was spot on with her delivery.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent service all around. Stewards and wait staff were always available to assist when needed.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
A few minor issues with that is over 20 years old. Overall, still well maintained and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Balcony stateroom far exceeded our expectations.

Ship tip

Study your deck maps before departure. It will take several days to totally orient yourself to where everything is located. is

Ports of call

Cruise Puget Sound

Fabulous scenery

CRUISE STEPHENS PASSAGE Did not visit port

Lots of snow still on the mountains. A special treat for this Arizona resident.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Excellent weather for this time of year. The tram was well worth the $50 dollar fee. Great views from 1800 ft above the sea level. Easy access as it is located directly across from the port.

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

5 out of 5
The glaciers were beautiful, wish we could have gotten a little closer. Plowing through car sized and smaller icebergs were interesting. Spotted a whole family of eight either seals or walruses on one larger iceberg.

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
Interesting history in Sitka. The Russian and Lutheran churches were fascinating to visit. A little on and off rain did not dampen our visit.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
Did the Duck Boat tour. Excellent guide and boat captain. It did seem that 3 in 5 stores were jewelry stores.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
A lot of walking especially at the airport. The valet port to airport service was excellent and helped tremendously with not having to lug baggage around.
