Embarkation

Seward had only the Westerdam departing. Got through the whole process including security in less than 15 minutes
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food quality good in Lido buffet. Have to balance that with the 'old style' cafeteria style of serving, which causes one to wait in line to access food options. Also, large, noisy crowds and difficulty finding good seating. Did not eat in MDR this trip. Pinnacle Grill (extra charge) awesome as usual.
Onboard Activities

Loved Lido pool and hot-tub, but frequently filled with children, running and yelling and moving from site to site.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
room Stewards, Paul and Nikki were awesome. Every interaction I had with cruise staff was great. Neptune lounge staff also great.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship very clean. Old design. a lot of art and statues/objects to be seen, but seem to often not be noticed. The predominant color themes of the ship are darker colors (wood tones, bronze black/grey) and, I suspect, many times the art work is not noticed. It's worth the time to walk through the ship and see all the beautiful art/objects on display. Loved the glass elevators mid-ship. Not many passengers seem to want to use them? Great view!
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Neptune suite. Wonderful size with awsome storage! aft corner location with wrap-around deck. Awsome view. Only real problems were HVAC and water tempurature. Alaska cruise had cool temperatures, and cabin temperature was ofter cold, no matter what the thermostat setting was or time of day/night - location. Suddently, for no apparent reason without adjucting thermostat, heat would come on? Water temp for showers variable, as on many cruise ships, depending on how many are using at that time.
Ship tip
Take the time to walk through the ship and see all the art objects.
