Review summary

Very fun active cruise! Did not love the new menu format. I have a picky eater in the group and it was hard to get something for him.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth. The cruise port was not as hectic as anticipated

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The ship is older and has been maintained very very well. The rooms were nice, entire ship was very clean. Main dining was hectic, we had my time dining....the place was always a buzz. Chops was good as was Giovanis. Buffet was large and we always had a table. Need more included choices when the Buffet is closed.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Some things were limited since we had NO sea days. No poker tournament. Shows were limited and only had the ice show on the last day.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Bands and musicians were good

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Good area, only complaint was I purchased the Voom plus Stream and I could not get streaming in the room and sometimes no internet.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Was embarkation, we stayed in Condado area. It was dirty and had lots of homeless. I probably would not stay in that area again.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Did the Boss underwater Scooters and snorkel. It was well organized and fun. Also, went to the tram up the mountain. Was expensive for the experience.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Was a nice port. We did the St Kits Water sports. We did the unlimited package at Regge beach. It was fun, transportation to the beach was a little expensive, but over all a good experience.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Walked around town for a while and then walked to Harbor Lights beach club. It was nice and the water was beautiful. For a $10 chair and umbrella a good value. Food and drinks were available, the waiter came to the beach for orders. There was a shower and changing room right off the beach and they had taxi's waiting for us at the end for $5 back to the port.

Castries, St. Lucia

Prettiest port. Did a 4X4 ship excursion that was not what was advertised, but it was a nice time.

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
We went to Antigua Zipline adventures and had a blast. Great very organized experience. It was organized by the cruise line. Then, I called Salty Dog Adventures for a ATV off road experience and they sent a driver to pick us up and they gave us a wonderful ATV trip and returned us to the dock in time!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We booked the Rhino Riders adventure through the ship. It was fun, but the water was super choppy so it did not allow us to go very fast. The beach was disappointing and there was not snorkeling like had been advertised because it was too murky. The beach was ok, not really pretty or anything to do. Only stayed there 30 mins, no chairs available.

What is the new food format???? Another person on this cruise said they don’t have carving stations anymore? Omelettes made to order? Is this a new Royal Caribbean thing, or just Voyager of the Seas?

Our st Lucia 4x4 excursion was not as advertised as well. Basically false advertising.
